Creamy Cinamon Overnight Oats
This recipe is designed to be a perfect, creamy base with just a touch of spice and vanilla. The chia seeds are a key ingredient, not just for nutrition but also for texture. They absorb liquid and create a thick, pudding-like consistency that makes the oats feel incredibly decadent.
Prep Time 5 minutes mins
Cook Time 8 hours hrs
Total Time 5 minutes mins
- 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats do not use instant or quick oats
- 3/4 cup almond milk or any milk of your choice
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1-2 tsp maple syrup or honey optional, for sweetness
- A pinch of salt
In a jar or container with a lid, combine all the ingredients.
Stir vigorously to ensure all ingredients are well-mixed and no chia seeds are clumped at the bottom.
Cover the container and place it in the refrigerator overnight, or for at least 6-8 hours.
In the morning, give the oats a good stir. If they seem too thick, add a splash more almond milk to reach your desired consistency.
Add your favorite toppings and enjoy!
