Creamy Cinamon Overnight Oats

This recipe is designed to be a perfect, creamy base with just a touch of spice and vanilla. The chia seeds are a key ingredient, not just for nutrition but also for texture. They absorb liquid and create a thick, pudding-like consistency that makes the oats feel incredibly decadent.

Equipment

  • 1 Mason Jar

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats do not use instant or quick oats
  • 3/4 cup almond milk or any milk of your choice
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1-2 tsp maple syrup or honey optional, for sweetness
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  • In a jar or container with a lid, combine all the ingredients.
  • Stir vigorously to ensure all ingredients are well-mixed and no chia seeds are clumped at the bottom.
  • Cover the container and place it in the refrigerator overnight, or for at least 6-8 hours.
  • In the morning, give the oats a good stir. If they seem too thick, add a splash more almond milk to reach your desired consistency.
  • Add your favorite toppings and enjoy!
